My Charlotte's Web lesson plan helps insure that students can reach the academic standard on how to identify problems and solutions found in a story. By setting the English/Language Arts standard for 3rd grade, this lesson helps students identify the problem and solution in a story.
This science lesson over pumpkins shows that I can teach subject matter accurately by using the 5E approach to science education for early childhood. The students are asked to meet academic standards in Science education and this lesson drives them to observe, explore, and to be engaged.
My Color Farm Lesson Plan uses interdisciplinary instruction to help support and reach a English/Language Arts Standard. In this lesson, English, Math, Science, and Social Studies are all incorporated.
This is a fundamental movements file which contains numerous multidisciplinary lessons to reach academic standards. Although the file is meant for the physical education setting, each lesson presented is based off of a math, reading, language arts, science, or social studies standard for a multidisciplinary approach to learning.

This current issues lesson helps address issues around the world in various points of view. The lesson asks for students to act out current events. Some of the students may view the events differently and their actions will reflect their point of views.
Students can use this planet lesson to think critically and to problem solve. By using critical thinking and problem solving strategies, students will create a planet mobile. This engages learners to use their imaginations and to complete a task.
This oral presentation rubric shows that I presented information on best management theory for conflicts and problem solving. The presentation was over theorist William Glasser, and I presented the information to my fellow teacher candidates at Manchester College.

I have created a list of Bloom's Taxonomy questions to accompany a book called Ellison the Elephant. These questions help ensure my ability to use effective questioning strategies to help my students expand their knowledge. I have also included the rubric in which I received on this project.

This is a pretest and post test that is included in my social studies unit over cultures. By creating these test, I show that I can successfully develop appropriate tools to assess learning. The students will show their prior knowledge on the pretest, and then the post test will assess what they have learned over a period of lessons and activiites.
This test was created for students in physical education. This works with locomotor skills and helps show students understanding of each. The students are to match the pictures with the correct skill to show their understanding.

This is an example of a running record I completed on a first grade student. This shows that I am able to assess reading strengths and weaknesses through assessments, and then use the score to drive my future instruction.
This is my reader case study. I spent numerous sessions with a sixth grade student working on comprehension skills. I administer formative and summative assessments throughout the study, and worked on progress monitoring as the lessons were introduced and completed..

I administered, scored, and interpreted an assessment for a fellow peer. I learned how to correctly administer the Peabody Exam, and scored the individuals based on the outcome of her assessment! My experience is found in my Test Administration Paper!
This is my social studies unit over cultural diversity. Through the completion of this unit, I have shown that I am able to assess social studies learning through appropriate alternative measures. I show this through the multiple implemented content areas and assessment tools used.

By using this letter writing lesson plan, students will use appropriate, authentic assessment tools and methods to complete their assignments. Such tools are a children's book called Cooper's Lesson, and a model for students to use when writing their letters, and a rubric for them to self-assess their work.
By completing this science lesson, students will participate in a comparison lesson. This lesson is meant for kindergarten students and focuses on the learning to compare and contrast by using their five senses. This rubric shows my ability to create a guided discovery lesson plan for primary grades!
Relationships
My Autism 101 certificate shows that I attended a pre professional workshop. This workshop contained a panel of parents, students, and others who helped broaden my sensitivity for diverse students and family members. This flyer shows the information that was discussed at the workshops and knowledge in which I received!
This is a poverty paper that I wrote during Literacy Block at Manchester College. I researched poverty and how students and their families living in poverty have many struggles that relate to academics.
My Code of Ethics Brochure demonstrates that I recognize the ethical responsibility of teachers according to the NAEYC. I have provided valuable information on my brochure to insure that their is a full understanding for the responsibilities of teachers. I have also included websites to use for further reference..

It is our ethical and legal responsibility to ensure that all diverse students receive the help they need to be successful..
My Certificate of Participation in the Manchester College Pre-Professional workshop, "The World at our Fingertips," helped me further develop in professional areas crucial to the field of elementary education. I learned a lot from Patricia Polacco and hope to carry the information given to me throughout my years of teaching.
This is my certificate for attending Storytime Slime! Storytime Slime was a conference held at Manchester College. At the conference I learned how to develop science themed lessons so that students have hands on experiences that get them engaged! This shows my values on life-long learning and professional development goals in which I have set for myself.
My IAEYC Certificate shows that I am an active participant in conferences and believe in ongoing learning opportunities to improve my teaching abilities! I enjoyed the IAEYC conference each year I went, and I hope to return to the conference in the future!
My oral presentation rubric demonstrate my oral communication skills. This rubric shows that I am able to orally communicate with others . I have scored highly on each of the areas, and know that I am able to communicate with my students, their parents, and colleagues.
My ARC Reflection paper demonstrates my written communication skills. I wrote about my experience with ARC and the fun night of events that took place at Manchester College.
My Journal Response over Cracking the Alphabetic Code demonstrates my ability to communicate with others using reflecting skills to discuss what has been read.
This rubric was completed by the classroom teacher that host me during my field experience in a diverse school setting. I learned a lot from this experience, and have gained better insights on helping students work individually, collaboratively and cooperatively throughout daily lessons and activities.
I completed this reflection over working with a collaborative team to teach a lesson about multidisciplinary teams. This lesson was meant to reach my college colleges and to develop a better understanding of what the duties are of a multidisciplinary team.
A partner and I completed this focus unit on fifth grade social studies. The unit is planned around the exploration to the west. In our focus unit, the students use a variety of centers to cover numerous materials and lessons.
Environment
This rubric , completed by my professor, shows that I am able to differentiate learning opportunities and help students individually at their own level. This rubric is from a field experience at a multicultural inner city school, where I taught a reading lesson to two kindergarten students during station time.

This is my online literacy project that I created for students to do independently. It is over What's Up, What's Down. It includes a pre-reading activity, during reading activities, and after reading activities to do on the computer. I have also included the rubric in which I received for doing this project.
This is a reader case study that I completed in the fall of 2010. I kept records of monitoring, documenting, and reports on a middle school student's progress with comprehension. I worked with this student over several weeks, and helped her focus on comprehending what she reads. The student showed progress throughout the study, and the outcome base assessment shows that the case study was a success.
This is a Behavior Intervention Plan I completed over a third grade student I observed. This shows that I am able to manage student behavior in positive ways that are safe and stress free for the student.
Here is a paper I wrote about my personal goals on conflict resolution in the classroom. I will take and build on these goals as I gain experience in the classroom.

This is my social studies philosophy. It presents research and my reflection on best practices in teaching social studies to future students. I know the importance of including social studies in the classroom, and have stated my beliefs fully in my philosophy. When I have a classroom of learners, I will make sure and create interdisciplinary lessons so that social studies is not left out of the curriculum!
