Welcome Educators,

This WebQuest was developed to help students learn about the Temperate Deciduous Forest.  It is one of several different ecosystems in our world.  The WebQuest can be used as a way to enhance student learning after studying ecosystems in class.

TheWebQuest has been designed for fourth grade students.  For students to successfully complete this WebQuest they need prior knowledge about ecosystems.  The students need to understand what ecosystems are, where they are located, and their importance to the environment.  My students will be completing a science trail prior to beginning the Webquest, which will provide them with important schema.  This schema will enable students to be successful.  Click on the Science Trail Handout if you want to use this as a way to prepare your students for the WebQuest.

In addition, to learning about the Temperate Deciduous Forest students will be involved in using critical thinking skills, collaboration, teamwork, and communication.  These skills will enhance your students learning about the Temperate Deciduous Forest and enable them to grow as learners.
