Experience:
I am currently involved with the Manchester SEA program. I have been a member since 2002. This is a great program that highlights important educational issues and provides activities and ideas for future teachers.
Currently, I am tutoring a 4th grader at South Whitley Elementary School who is struggling in reading. I have enjoyed helping her through many activities.
I participated in two week-long field experiences during October and November. I helped out in a special needs classroom at Metro North, located in Wabash, in October. In November I helped out in a 4th grade classroom at the Oaks Academy, located in Indianapolis.
I performed in a children's play, "Magical Faces." We toured parts of Indiana and Arizona in January 2005. This was fun, because we were able to get the children involved.
September through December 2005 I participated in IRC. I did my tutoring at Eisenhower Elementary school.
I put twenty hours in at Manchester Early Learning Center located in North Manchester, In. I had a great experience here, because I was able to interact with young children.
"Celebration of a Young Child"- Honeywell Center in Wabash, In. I had a lot fun walking, dancing, and playing games with the children.
In 2003, I tutored three students at Akron Elementary School for "Flyer Time." I helped the three students with various subject work.
