My Teaching Philosophy
"No one had yet fully realized the wealth of sympathy, kindness, and generosity hidden in the soul of a child. The effort of every true education should be to unlock that treasure," Emma Golman once quoted. I want to be able to teach, so I can unlock that treasure for my students. I want my students to know that they are just as important as adults. I want to build a relationship with my students academically and emotionally. I want them to know they can come to me with anything and I will help them through their problems. I am sure I will have many students whose lives are not the best, but I want them to come to school and realize they are truly amazing. I want them to look at me as a teacher and say, "She really believes in me." I know I cannot make my students' troubles go away, but I know that I can be in their life and guide them in the right direction. I am not going into teaching for the money, but for the students. I want to make a difference in their lives and let them know they have a treasure that can be unlocked.
