3/27/08: Life was so busy two weeks ago that I didn't manage to post on here that this last week (15th-23rd) was my spring break. While I believe we as people can be amazingly good at justifying the things we do I will not attempt to make an excuse why I didn't update anything on the website over spring break. Well I think that I had a pretty typical spring break for a college kid. It all started on Saturday with a trip with my foster mom and 6yr old sister to Chucky Cheese . . . oddly enough I didn't see a whole lot of college kids there, they must have gone to the one in Florida. It was a great time being able to hang out with my sister and talk to Becky. The rest of my break consisted mostly of hanging around the house doing odd jobs, hanging out with the sister, and giving my mind a chance to get a little bit closer to catching up with my life. On Thursday I did manage to fit a bit of fun in my life and a bunch of standing in line when I went to go seeHillary Clinton who was just 6 blocks away from my house. It was a neat experience to have gone to a politcal rally. Although the chances of me voting for her were not swayed one way or the other (chances are slim by the way) I did come away having learned some things about politcal rallies. The first of which is that they are RALLIES, the are not really events geared toward eduction but rather for getting people excited (rallying them). I heard from others and thought myself that these events were something you could go to to help you figure out what you think about a canidate, well this particular experience (I have only been to one) was not geared toward helping one decide if they would vote for her. Basically what I felt like happened was that she just mentioned a bunch of problems (most people already agree they are problems) that she wanted changed in shotgun fashion without much explanation as to how or when.I could ramble on about some otherthings that happened at the event and maybe if enough of you ask and I have time I will post something up here just about that but other wise I will let it be what it is right now. You can though look at my pictures by clicking this sentence and see how close I sat to Hillary. I got back to school Sunday evening after having spent the afternoon with family. I was glad to get back to this life but at the same time when I got here I was feeling very uneasy and not ready to live it. There are a lot of things on my plate, not really more than any other person I just don't happen to manage time all that well, and I was a little overwhelmed thinking about it. But now that the week is in swing I am feeling better and getting things organized. (I actually had this post ready on Tuesday but didn't manage to have time to get it up until today. Sorry about the delay.)

3/4/08: Monday has come and gone so that means that I have a pretty good idea of what my week is going to look like It is going to be a busy one . . . potentially the busiest one yet. I still have all of the normal homework to do but then I have two tests that I am not too excited about. Tomorrow I have a test in Introduction to Peace Studies. For being an introduction class it is loaded with bunches of information. I have never had a test with this professor and have a suspicion that she gives difficult tests. On Thursday I have a Principles of Programming test that will likley require a lot of thinking. Once again don’t let the principles trick you; this is actually the last programming class of my college career.  I wish that I had something fun to share with you but so far it has just been school. I will try to get myself into an adventure when school calms down a little bit.

3/3/08: It is Monday again and I haven’t figured out yet whether I am tired or energized. The weekend went really well as busy as it was. The LAN party was very successful and went off without a hitch. After working it though for 9+ hours I felt like I needed some time to relax an unwind so I ended up going to hang out with a friend and we talked until the wee hours of the morning. Thus I didn’t feel motivated to get up for church on Sunday :-( . I did though make some important progress on some programming that I needed to do and also did laundry that had been backing up.  This morning I was the first ITS person to make it into work (7am) and one of the important servers were down and everyone was freaking out because in a factory it is a big deal if production is down. I spent most of my morning applying a work around to most of the computers while my boss tried to figure out a real solution. I unfortunately had to leave at 10am (normally I work until 11 refer to my schedule if you are interested) because of an event that I needed to attend for one of my classes. Everyone was really pretty sad and even more stressed out and were pleading for me to stay. I won’t be able to find out how things are going until I go back into work at 3. I don’t know how my week looks just yet but if anything remotely interesting happens I will share it here.

2/29/08: It is Friday and that means that I end being busy in one way and move to being busy in other ways. First I should review the week saying that things have gone pretty well. I have been able to keep up with all my school work and school responsibilities while also having time for some personal things. Later today I am going to start implementing a database that I have constructed to document all the computers, and computer information for the company I work for. This weekend is going to be really busy mostly because I am losing an entire day. This weekend is the Computer Science Club’s (of which I am the president) bi-annual LAN-party. So that means that as soon as I get off of work today I am going to go and work on some setup of for that and then go shopping for snacks and prizes. Then tomorrow I will be working the party from 1:30pm until 10:30pm. I hope I still have energy for Church on Sunday morning.

2/25/08: Happy Monday! My weekend went pretty well and as expected I was pretty productive and then was also able to squeeze in some time to relax and catch up with myself despite the fact that some unexpected distractions came up which took a bit of time from everything I planned on doing. I was able to e-mail many of the people who had e-mailed me. I am sorry to those who I did not respond to, it is not that I like you less I just responded in the order in which the e-mails came.I did some more job searching and am finding it is hard to find the job that I want that is in the right location that I am qualified for. But I think I have some good leads. Friday’s kayaking went really well, the snow was beautiful to watch fall while on the river. The friend I went with did wind up falling in at the very end of our trip . . . it was really cold and the process of getting him and his water filled kayak out of the water was quite an adventure but fortunately we had planned well enough ahead that we were able to make a phone call and get picked up very quickly. This week looks like a normal week without anything special, but that doesn’t mean that I won’t think of anything to put here on my tid bits.

2/22/08: I just finished taking my math test a little bit ago and I think I did pretty well. There was one question that I couldn't answer and one question that I couldn't adequately justify my answer. This weekend looks like it will be a nicely balanced weekend with both relaxing and productivity. Tonight I plan on going kayaking on the local river and I am pretty excited about that. I am also wrapping up the details on the house I am going to rent this next year. I still have to go see what it looks like on the inside and then get a letter of reference from a professor but otherwise it looks like it is a go. I will post another tid bit after the weekend is over to let you know how the weekend went. Hopefully those of you who e-mailed me last week will be getting a response from me this weekend.

2/19/08: This week is going to be a busy week partially due to the fact that this past weekend was my least productive weekend of this semester. I feel like I will be ready for my math test this Friday which will be my first test of the semester. Besides being busy things are going pretty well. In addition to school work, this week I am also working on organizing different events for the computer science club, and looking into a house I might rent for this next year. I have gotten e-mails from many people and will respond as soon as I can (it will probably be this weekend).

2/12/08: This will be the place that I give little (well maybe there might be times when they are a bit big) details about the things that are going on in my life.
