You are going to investigate about a specific rock or mineral. You can choose a rock from the class collection or you can pick one from one of the books in your science trail. You will use different websites and books to find as much information about  your rock or mineral as  you can. After you have investigated about your rock or mineral you are going to give a Rock Talk. In this Rock Talk you are going to tell your classmates all about your rock. Why is it special? Why did you pick this rock or mineral? This is your rock and mineral and you think it is special so make us see why it is so special.

Rock Talk - about 1 rock or mineral

• Length of presentation: 3-4 minutes

• Items needed: either the mineral or a picture of the mineral, at least 2 pictures of the mineral (try to have pictures of you rock from different directions or sides),  and a 5x8 index card. (Optional - something that is made from your mineral)
