In order to write a good story, you will have to go through the steps of this WebQuest.  Be sure to visit all of the links and answer all of the questions!!  Your buddy is here to help you!  Get your thinking caps on and pretend that you could live in ANY habitat in the world...

You will be paired up with a buddy from your buddy class.  Your buddy will help you read the pages and guide you as you write.

Using what you gathered from the science trail and your research on here, you will write a story about a habitat you would like to live in.  You can use:
            Desert
            Water (ocean or lake)
            Prairie                                                
            Woods
            Rainforest

                                                               
           
            Use the butterfly paper to write down facts from each of the different habitats.

After you find information on all of the different habitats, you will pick a habitat that you want to write about.  You will meet in a group with the other students who want to use that habitat, as well, to share what you have found.

Think about the different animals that live in your habitat.  Go to this website and print out an animal from your habitat.  Once you have done that, you will color your animal.  Be sure to pick an animal that is different from the other people in your group!

Visit the Yahooligans! website and watch a video on an animal that lives in your habitat.  Have your buddy help you write down important things about the movie.

Once you have finished everything, use the notes and the other information you have gathered from the Internet to begin your story.  Make sure you include the animal that you printed out and colored!  Be sure to write about what your habitat looks like, the animals that live there, what the animals do for food, and what you do as part of this habitat.
