Technology Reviews |
On this page, you will find links to reviews of technology. These forms fo technology can include software packages as well as other technology resources useful to educators. In this review, I examine the benefits and downsides to Taskstream, a web-based portfolio/assessment technology. Taskstream allows professors to create rubrics, provide electronic feedback to students, grade student work online, and house all finished work. Ultimately, departments can use the tool to aggregate standards-driven data. Reviewing Blackboard allowed me to see there are elements of the program that I have not yet tapped into as a professor. Blackboard provides institutions with an excellent way to manage curriculum and organize students. By clicking on the link above, you can visit Sally Pickard-Davidson's EDTEC 685 Blog. From there, click on her two postings for technology reviews. She reviews both Quia and R-Grade. Click on Wei Ma's shared resource journal to see an excellent example of technology. Here you will find links to his two technology reviews as well.
