ANECDOTAL RECORDS
Anecdotal records are notes kept by the teacher as s/he observes particular students. The teacher observes negative and positive behavior for the student under investigation. From these notes, then, the teacher can make important decisions about instruction. When teachers make anecdotal records, they must remain neutral and sound detached. S/he simply records what s/he sees in the student’s behavior.
