My Teaching Philosophy

    I believe that everyone has the right and ability to learn. Everyone is capable of learning and I as a teacher have the desire  to teach those who want to be taught, and inspire those who do not think they can. I teach because I care. I teach for the students who come to school looking for a safe environment, and those who sit in the back of the classroom because they fear being called on. Those students motivate me to teach. I teach after all for the students who need help and guidance. They are the students that will challenge me and test me everyday and I as an educator believe it is my job to find a way to reach these students and motivate them to learn.

     As a teacher you are never off work. You spend countless hours at home grading papers and creating lesson plans you hope will reach your students. However teaching is the most rewarding career of all. What other career do you get to see the face of a child light up when he or she gets something? What other career gives you the opportunity to teach a future doctor? or president? A teacher holds great power and with that power comes great responsibility.
