About Me

I was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana and have lived in a neighborhood called
Waynedale all my life. My mother,
Donna Shaffer raised my older
question a teacher asked of my class. I have also always been well- rounded
as early as elementary school. I believe that my love of school is what has led
me to be interested in education as an adult.

Anyone who knows me would say that I am a very
enthusiastic and outgoing person. I am athletic,
energetic, and love to have fun. I am patient and I
care about others. I am adventurous and take risks.
One thing that I love to
There are many things that I am passionate about. I am

dedicated to running, and spent all four years at Manchester
running on the cross-country team. I also ran the steeplechase
for the track and field team. One of my other passions is acting.
I have participated in multiple theatre productions in high school,
in college, and community theatre in Fort Wayne. A couple of my
favorite roles are Puck from "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and
Julia/Party Member #2 from "1984."

As for my future plans, I am working at Camp Red
Cedar in Fort Wayne this summer, which is a horseback-riding
camp for children with and without disabilities. I am deciding
on graduate school at the moment; I want to obtain a master's
degree in either mental health counseling or clinical
psychology. This will aid me in being able to effectively assess
and communicate with individuals concerning their
psychological needs.
