Activity One:

After you have read the book Jumanji create your own board game by going to this website .  Choose the animals you would like to represent each square.   After you have completed your game print it out.  After you have created your board game and it is printed out, go to this word document (also in PDF) and fill in the directions for the game and what each animal does when you land on its space.  Take the theme from the book you have just read.  i.e. a stampede. Be creative! : )  Once you have finished print it out and paper clip it to your board game. 

Activity Two:

Go to Publisher on your computer (start menu, office then Publisher), click on newsletter in the right hand column, choose a design.  Write a newsletter about the breaking news of what happened to Judy and Peter while they played the game of Jumanji .  This should be a summary of the book and what they did to end the game.  Also include what obstacles they had to overcome as well as how they even found the game.  You can go online and find pictures to add to your newsletter but you may only use 2.  When you are done print it out.
