During Reading

This page is to be completed while you are reading Crawdad Creek!

Activity One:  After you read the first six pages stop and reflect on what you have read.  Think about the adventures you have ever been on outside.  Have you ever found a cool rock or even a fossil?!  Print off this fossil question sheet and go to this fossil website.  After learning about fossils fill in the sheet you printed!  Use your own words!!

Activity Two: Read another six pages after completing activity one.  Michael and Lizzie see many animal footprints on their adventures to the creek.  Have you ever seen a deer track?  Take a walk in the woods sometime and look at the ground as you walk, you will be surprised what you see!  Watch this video about animal tracking and then print this tracks worksheet and complete.  If necessary, feel free to watch the video more than once!
