Print it out, then fill out the Know and Want to Know

ACTIVITY #2

Print off the Thunderstorm coloring page.

Draw yourself outside with Bill and Maria, then draw a thunderstorm in the sky. When you are finished, the coloring page should be neat and complete.

Make sure to be creative!

While You Read:

 

ACTIVITY #3

Patricia is scared at the beginning of Thunder Cake and hides under the bed.

In Microsoft Word, type a journal entry about a time when you were scared of something. What did you do while you were scared?

Your journal entry should have 3-5 complete sentences.

 

REMEMBER:

print out your finished entry.

Type your name and the date at the top of the paper.

 

ACTIVITY #4

As you are reading Thunder Cake, you will probably find some words that you do not know.

As you read:

1. Write down 5 words on this worksheet that you do not know.

 

After you find 5 words:

1. Go to this online dictionary to look up your words!

2. Write the definition in the box next to your word.

ACTIVITY #5

Now that you know the process of a thunderstorm, Print out this poem and add in your own descriptive words.
