The Rise of Hitler

It was not hard for Hitler to gain power.  He was a Germany veteran and a magnificent speaker.  Hitler built his party, the Nazi, and then worked to obtain power.  In 1933 he became Chancellor, and in 1934 the President. Just before the election in 1933 the Reichstag building was set on fire.  Hitler used this as a chance to turn the Germany people against the Communist, and gain their votes.  He promised the people of Germany a better life.

Germany was in a depression because of the affect WWI had on them.  Hitler told farmers that they would get more money for their produce, he promised work for the unemployed building roads, stadiums, etc… he promised to end the communist threat.  Most of all he promise to end the Treaty of Versailles and rebuild Germany.

So with this of course the people were going to support him.  They were sick of being poor and having such hard times placed on them.  So with these promises Hitler won the support of his people.  Little did the people know about the horrific agenda that Hitler had in mind once he had power.
