My Obituary

If you just can't figure out the man behind the mask, I have enclosed some personal information that might intrigue you!

My Name:  Although most of you call me Rob, my real name is Michael.  In fact my full name is Michael Robert Miller Dymond.  I guess, my mother was really indecisive in what to call me upon my birth.  Even to this day, my mother still does not know what to call me?  (Matthew, Jeff, You, #%&*!@)

Birth Place: I am the 5th generation of my family to be born in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

I am survived by:

Mother Nancy; a proud mother and dedicated educator for many years.

Father Roger; a hard working man, who is a cesspool of vast knowledge on all traits of life .

Brother Matthew; The oldest of the three Dymond Children, is a rather humble fellow when it comes to Michigan Football Season.

Sister Michelle; The middle sibling, has belching abilities that can make any single person shake in their shoes.

Grandmother Maxine; Who I have called Amie all my

life, has the traditional German stubbornness running

throughout her veins.  Even in her elderly years, to this

day she shows the world that age will not slow her down.

The In-laws;

Melissa; To this day it is still a mystery how my new sister found a way into my brother's cold dark heart?  I guess with the temper of an Italian, and her impressive inebriated speaking abilities, my big brother finally met his match!!!

John; Although I was apprehensive at first about him, John has turned into the giant, loveable, cuddly, teddy bear my sister has come to love and cherish.  With his unique sense of humor and one lines that can make you think or cry with pain, it is no question that he has found a place in this family.

The Pets:

My mother's Rat; Who we call Isabel, is actually a Cairn Terrier.  If you are unfamiliar with a Cairn Terrier; it's like Toto from the Wizard of Oz. In my opinion it or she looks like a Gremlin. Even though her hair is so nappy you can spike it without using hair spray, or rolls over for a scratch to just about anybody, she has undoubtedly found a place in my heart.

My brother's monster; Mocwa which means little bear in a native language, is a Chocolate Lab with fierce golden eyes and saliva like cement.  She is known to be a couch and/or bed potato that loves to lay around and snore really loud.

Fun Family History:

In 1926 my great-great-grandfather John Miller, sold the land he worked and farmed to the University of Michigan.  On that same land one year later, the stadium that would later become the "Big-House" was built.  Early pictures of the stadium indicate a small white house that stood near the eagle in the south west corner of the stadium.  In this house was were my grandmother (Amie) was born. And yes, Maize and Blue blood runs throughout my veins! (GO BLUE)

Captured in 1902, the Miller family farm stands at the future site of the "Big House".

My Youth:

Although I was born in Ann Arbor, I was raised in Chelsea.  Almost 15 miles west of Ann Arbor was the stomping grounds of my adolescent youth.  If you are not familiar with Chelsea then maybe you can make a connection with Jiffy Mix also located in Chelsea!

Fun Facts:

I have played many instruments from drums, piano and occasionally from time to time I will pick up the guitar and strum a few chords.  Strange fact about my musical abilities is that I never play by reading the music, rather my abilities come from my ears, heart, and soul.

I have dabbed paint on a few canvases before.  In fact I have designed and created all the works of art in my apartment and or other various offices, apartments, and/or homes of friends and family.

                  (I Call this Cheap Art!)

I have traveled many great distances of the world.  I have been to England twice, Scotland and France, Canada on more that one occasion, and drove to Alaska with five guys including myself in a pickup truck!

In my spare time, I love to listen to music, play the drums or piano, paint, fish, watch movies, get all snazzied up, watch snow fall, go to football games, view the autumn colors, get to see my family, play with the dogs, take care of the lawn, watch the sun set on Lake Michigan, clean the house, sleep, take long walks, observe the stars, lounge, eat popsicles, at times read or write, swim, and laugh with friends.

My Unique School Experiences:

At the age of 15 I had the unique privilege to go to both public and private high schools.  I found myself transferring to Leelanau Boarding School in Glen Arbor, Michigan, before my sophomore year.  It was here at young age, I found myself four and a half hours away at a new school with new faces.  At Leelanau, I discovered many things about myself and life.  The strangers that I was once upon, soon became the family I never wanted to leave.  As hard as it was, life beckoned and the doors of the future welcomed me into the next chapter of my life.

My good old College Days:

As I left Leelanau, I soon found the road way down to Manchester College deep within the corn fields of Indiana.  No longer did I hear the crashing of waves slap upon the shore line, I was only left to feel the unstoppable wind rush through me from the mile-less plains in front of me.  With the years passing so frivolously by, it's no wonder why I have been here for 7 years.
