Work Experience

Indiana Reading Corps- I have tutored children in 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade for 3 years while working for Indian Reading Corps.

Nanny- Throughout High School and College I had various nanny jobs where I worked with children ranging from 4 to 13 years old. 

T.L.C. Day Care- During the summer of 2005 I worked as a floating teacher for T.L.C Day Care.  I worked in 4 different classrooms with students ranging from Kindergarten to 7th grade. 

Early Learners Grant- I worked with pre-school students at a local Head Start during Literacy Block.  I wrote emergent literacy lessons and used them with a small group of children. 

Tutoring- I was able to spend a semester working with a struggling reader each week.  I administered an IRI and then worked with the student in the area of need.

Homecoming Children's Activity- During the 2005 Homecoming I worked with children of various ages on sand art and Jell-O aquarium activities.
