Summary:
The punctuation in Mr. Wright's class worked hard, but they were not appreciated by the students. To teach the kids a lesson, Mr. Wright sends the punctuation on vacation. The kids soon found out how important punctuation was because they could not read their chapter book. They also were not able to reply to the postcards that the punctuation sent to the class. They tried to borrow punctuation from Mr. Rongo's class but his punctuation was wild. The children used his wild punctuation to write a letter to their punctuation and they came home!
Robin Pulver was born in 1945 and grew up in the country of up-state New York. As a young girl she loved when her mother read to her and it was exciting to learn how to read herself. In 3rd grade, she was allowed an entire day off of lessons to write a story. She continued writing, first about nature in children's magazines, then picture books which were inspired by her children's experiences.
