My French Studies
As a French major at Manchester College, I have take several French courses on campus, from Intermediate
French,a course covering grammar, speaking, and pronunciation, to Advanced French, a course dealing with the
historical,
artistic, musical, and cultural aspects of the French nation. During the spring semester of my junior year
(2007), I spent aboutfive months studying abroad in France through Brethren Colleges Abroad (BCA). During my senior
year (Fall Semester 2007), I served as the French Laboratory Assistant. As the lab assistant, I worked weekly with
Elementary and Intermediate French classes during designated laboratory times and also occasionally listened and
reviewed presentations for students enrolled in French 315: Introduction to French Literature.
