During Reading Activities:

Activity One:

Now is your chance to read the book.  While reading create a timeline of the crops that are grown in the story. 

Here is the template. 

DIRECTIONS:    Pull up this document to complete your assignment.  What I would like you to do is simply pull up the document.  As you read, type in the crops, and then find clipart that represents each crop.  It should all be completed in Word. 
Once you are all done print it off.

While reading the book also check out this website that shows a tree that is also experiencing the seasons.

Follow the directions given on the page. 

After viewing this website, take a piece of computer paper.  What I would like you to do is divide your paper into four sections.  Now each section represents one of the four seasons.  In each square you can either write about what happens in each season, you can simply draw the four seasons, or you can use a combination of the two.
