After Reading Activities:

Activity One:

1.)    Before we do the next activity try this maze.  See how long it takes you to get the robot out of the maze.  

2.)    Now that you have finished the maze now is your turn to create a map.  Much like the maze if you do not remember where you placed something it can be hard to complete. 

3.)    So to help out you are going to create a map to help you find something.  Now this can be a make believe map or it can really lead to your treasure.  You also can either completely draw the map or you can create it in a word document, it is your choice.  (Use page 25 in the book as your example.)

Activity Two:

2.)    This story talks about a families that immigrated from other countries.  Select two persons from the list.  Read about there story once they were in the United States and how they got to here.  Be sure to note where they traveled from.   

**Draw a picture of what you think one of your people looks like.  On the bottom of the paper write a brief biography about the person.  Do not forget to write the persons name and the country that they traveled from at the top of your paper. **
