Teaching Philosophy

        For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to become a teacher. Two reasons I have a desire to teach is because of to teachers that have influenced my life. Mrs. Rice was one of my high school teachers and Mrs. McIntire was my second grade teacher. Each of them made learning fun and exciting for me! I knew that I wanted to be influencing teachers like they were to me!

        Another reason why I want to teach is because I have the desire to help others. I love children and have had many chances to work with them. I see children who have trouble in school or in life and I just want to reach out and help them. I want to impact a child's life and use my knowledge to teach them in many ways.

        As a teacher I know that it is my responsibility to differentiate and be flexible in my classroom. Students learn in many ways and I will make sure I apply many teaching methods in my classroom so that students get what they need. My class room will be an inviting and safe environment to allow students to learn and for me to give all I have to teaching!

The dream begins with a teacher who believes in you, who tugs and pushes and leads you to the next plateau, sometimes poking you with a sharp stick called “truth”;
