Evaluation

I will be grading you based on your research strategies, effort, your paper, and your presentation.  For your research strategies, I need to see you doing the research and taking notes of information you are thinking of using.  For effort, I will be looking for how hard you worked, whether you asked and answered questions of your peers, and whether or not you used the writing process as  you have been taught.  Your paper will be graded on content, structure, mechanics, length, and visual aids.  The presentation assessment will be based on voice level and clarity (could everyone understand you) and content (did you teach us about your planet and use visual aids).

Research Strategies
Did not really do much research.  Looked at one website but took no notes.
Looked at a few websites but did not spend much time on them.  Only took a few notes that were not very descriptive.
Looked at all the websites listed.  Notes were taken and used for the paper.
Looked at every website listed and took good notes.  The notes were used in the writing of the paper and were used well.
Effort
Did not spend much time or effort on working.  Was little or no communication with peers.  Did not use the writing process.
Spent some time working on the project but not much.  Asked questions of peers but rarely answered any of their questions.  Used only a few steps of the writing process.
Worked on the project during every assigned time.  Communicated with peers regularly.  Completed every step of the writing process.
Spent time working on the project during the assigned times and outside of these times as well.  Communicated with peers at every opportunity and was very helpful.  Every part of the writing process was completed.
Paper content, structure, and  mechanics. The length and visual aids of paper. The paper showed many errors in content, structure, and mechanics.  It did not meet the length requirement and there were no visual aids. The paper showed a few errors in content, structure, and mechanics. The paper met the required length but the visual aids were insufficient. The paper showed minor errors in content, structure, and mechanics.  The length was good and the visual aids were applicable.
The paper showed no errors in content, structure, and mechanics.  The length was met and the visual aids were outstanding.
Voice level and clarity during presentation
Student could barely be heard.  What was heard was not very clear or understandable. The student can be heard most of the time.  Clarity is improving but still struggling to understand what is being said. The student is heard and understood.
The student uses great voice levels and has no problems being understood.  The presentation was heard and understood by all.
