The same general topics as listed for General Physics I above, but at a somewhat more advanced level than in General Physics I and II. Calculus is used freely as a tool in discussion of theory and in problem solving. Includes three lecture periods and a three-hour laboratory per week.
Prerequisites: PHYS 201 and MATH 221. Enrollment in MATH 221 may be concurrent.
Offered each Spring Term.
FYI, here's the General Physics I description referred to above:

topics include classical mechanics, thermal physics, electricity and
magnetism, optical physics, and modern physics. Instruction is by lecture,
demonstration, discussion, problem solving, and laboratory experiences.
Includes three lecture periods and a three-hour laboratory per week. Does
not count toward a physics major.
Offered each Spring Term.
