Summary of the book


Big Tracks, Little Tracks by Franklyn M. Branley is a story about a little boy who finds a lot of different tracks in the snow.  However, there is one problem he discovers along his journey... he does not know who made the tracks! Throughout the story, explore all of the tracks the little boy finds and discover the animals who made them.  After reading this book, you can find out  how good you are at identifying animal tracks too !

(1915-2002)
Franklyn Mansfield Branley was famous for writing over 150 science books for children.  He started the "Let's-Read-and-Find-Out Science Series" back in 1960.  Branley was very involved with science and was also an Astronomer.  He was very involved in teaching teachers how to teach science and was the Chairman of the American Museum-Hayden Planetarium.
