I believe that every child should have a chance to succeed and go somewhere.  Each child is unique in their own way and has special gifts to offer the world in one way or another.  No matter what, a child needs to have a friend in life whether they are the same age as the child or someone older or younger.  As a social worker, I will work at being friends with as many kids as I can, along with doing my job, because there will be quite a few that will need me as someone to come talk to, or to cry with, or to laugh with.  No matter what, I will work to become someone a child can trust and confide in if needed.  What kids need more and more these days is someone they can count on during hard times and when they are down in the dumps.  I am hoping to be able to fill that position when I become a social worker.
