An analysis of dialects reveals dialects occur because many different geographic, social, and ethnic backgrounds exist, along with a large variety of variations in the English language. Dialects lead us to stereotype individuals in the workplace and outside the workplace. It also causes us to have differences in writing.
Dialect is a regional or social variety of language distinguished by pronunciation, grammar, or vocabulary, especially a variety of speech differing from the standard literary language or speech pattern of the culture in which it exists. It also can be defined as different forms of the same language.
This website will hopefully allow you to learn more about dialect and provide with you some good resources.
