My Philosophy
When I think
about teaching, it's more than just teaching academic subject matter. For
one school year, I will have a lot of children in my classroom. As a
teacher, it is my job
to teach them what they need to know, accommodate lesson
plans and assignments, and integrate different subject areas into others.
But, teaching means more than that. Teaching is getting students excited
about learning. I hope to instill a love of learning in every student that
walks into my classroom. Each child is unique and should be given the same
opportunities to learn. My biggest goal is for my students to be learning
without them knowing. I want to create engaging lessons that involve a mix
of group work, individual work, activities, projects, and hands-on assignments.
Using a mix of these will allow me to accommodate my student's unique learning
styles.
