The lesson plan Concept Charades that I created in Creative Dramatics uses movement and actions to express feelings and concepts without using communication. The students must think critically to use their bodies the way author's use words to portray emotions of their characters. This covers the state standard over characters and writing styles.

I created a group of discussion questions over three separate Shakespearean plays in a Shakespeare class I took in the fall of 2011. I attended the workshop over Response to Instruction (RTI) and Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) on November 11, 2011 and learned that there are different ways to assess students on what they are learning. Through RTI assessment a student can be identified at an earlier stage in their struggles and through PBIS a school can be a positive safe environment. Reflection. Reference.

In Introduction to Social Work I had to create a career path paper of the laws and responsibilities of a teacher and their day to day activities. By doing this assignment I gained a better understanding on what it takes to be a teacher and the responsibilities I will have.

By attending the ARC Dance I explored my preconceptions I had of exceptional learners prior to attending. This service project helped strengthen my values, beliefs, and attitudes toward working with people with disabilities.

By doing a Bullying and Cyber-Bullying presentation in Intro to Teaching, I learned what exactly each type of bullying is and how to prevent/react it in the classroom and the laws behind it. In Intro to Teaching I observed a teacher's classroom management style for a full week and watched how she reacted to her student's actions. By observing her I gained a different way to manage student behavior in a supportive safe classroom. Reflection on the Experience on a Whole.
