I woke up this morning and thought of you

I couldn’t think of the words I wanted to say to you

As my day went on I dreamt back to your words.

What truth you taught in a simple way.

I couldn’t believe my luck

That night I was walking next to you

My heart was flying

I was excited to be

You kept me speechless

But now where can I be

Your sharp words struck through me like a knife

I don’t know what to say

I wish

I dream

I hope

I pray

For what

You never know

Till the day

When the words are there again.
